Two Life Sentences. One Search for Truth.
On November 5th, 1986, 20-year-old college student Scott Macklem was murdered in St. Clair County Community College Parking Lot. Police zeroed in on his girlfriend's ex, a man by the name of Fred Freeman who later changed his name to Temujin Kensu. The problem? The man police went after had more than ten alibis placing him over 400 miles away before during and after the crime.
Someone got away with murder. And Temujin Kensu has served nearly four decades for a crime he could not have committed.

We are working to do what the justice system has failed to do so far: provide justice for Scott Macklem and restore freedom for Temujin Kensu.
